Plumbing, Drainage & Maintenance
Q: What do we need to maintain on our hot water system?
A: It is recommended to open and release water from the PTR (Pressure & Temperature Relief) valve & ECV (Expansion Control Valve) every 3-6 months to ensure it stays in working order. When you release these valves, it prevents the moving parts from ceasing up, which allows the valves to operate correctly.
Roofing/Wall Cladding
Q: What could be causing that nasty mold patch that is growing on my hallway ceiling?
A: This could be caused by water penetrating the roof space from a number of places. For example, loose roof screws, flashings that have not been sealed correctly, decktites that are surrounding penetrations in the roof just to name a few.
Gas
Q: What’s causing my flame to turn from blue to orange on my gas cooktop?
A: If your gas cooktop burns with a blue flame but has orange tips, it implies that there’s a scarcity of oxygen around.
This will have to be properly adjusted to maintain a blue flame. This can also be caused my food blocking the jets, which will have to be cleaned out.
Watertanks
Q: How do I know what pump to use with my water tank?
A: This all depends on what use it is intended for.
For example, a 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom house would need a different pump compared to a 2 bedroom / 1 bathroom house.
We will supply an install the correct pump for the appropriate application.
